Dr John Howe is a Senior Lecturer in the Law School at the University of Melbourne, and is a member of both the Centre for Employment and Labour Relations Law and the Centre for Corporations and Securities Regulation at the Law School.
He has written extensively on alternative mechanisms of labour regulation, and the intersection between state-based regulation and corporate governance. John is co-editor of the book Labour Law and Labour Market Regulation published 2006.
Prior to commencing an academic career, John worked in private legal practice, and also as a researcher for public policy and advocacy organisations in the United States. He is Secretary of the Australian Labour Law Association, and a member of the editorial committee of the Australian Journal of Labour Law.
