Jill Murray is a Senior Lecturer in the Law School at La Trobe University. She has had a long-standing interest in the regulation of work: prior to becoming an academic, she worked as an industrial advocate and in human resource management. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in law from Oxford University, and has published in Australian and European journals on EU and international employment law, corporate social responsibility and developments in Australian labour law. She is co-ordinator of employment law teaching at La Trobe, and also teaches Contract Law and Equity. In 2004 she appeared as an expert witness on international legal developments in the reconciliation of work and family in the Australian Industrial Relations Commission’s Work and Family Provisions Test Case.
