David Lanham is Professor Emeritus at the University of Melbourne and Adjunct Professor at La Trobe University. From 1964-75 he was lecturer and Senior Lecturer at Nottingham University and in 1971 Visiting Lecturer at Auckland University. From 1975-2000 he was Kenneth Bailey Professor of Law at The University of Melbourne.
He has authored books on dying with dignity and cross-border criminal law and co-authored books on criminal fraud medical law and administrative law. He has also published articles on these and other subjects in leading law journals. He is a former editor of the Criminal Law Review and former assistant editor of Medicine Science and the Law.
