Simon Young
Dr Simon Young joined the University of Western Australia’s Law Faculty as a Senior Lecturer in Sept 2005, after working for four years with a national law firm and eight years as a legal academic with the Queensland University of Technology.He researches and teaches in the fields of Indigenous law and policy, administrative law and constitutional law. His published articles and book chapters include works on the ‘stolen generations’, cross-cultural negotiation and all aspects of native title law and policy.
He co-edited with Prof Bryan Horrigan the book Commercial Implications of Native Title (in 1997), and co-authored with Prof Bill Lane the books Administrative Law in Queensland (2001) and Administrative Law in Australia (2007). He has conducted numerous legal seminars for (and consulted to) various federal and state government agencies, non-government organisations, law firms and barristers
