Jill Wilson

Dr. Jill Wilson is an associate professor and, currently, Head of the School of Social Work and Applied Human Sciences in the University of Queensland. She has taught in a range of areas of social work practice and theory, and she has a long-standing interest in field education. Her current areas of research are in assets and ageing, care models for older people, and issues around quality in the provision of aged care. She is the author of a number of texts in the social work and human service practice and fieldwork education areas.

Dr. Wilson has practiced largely in the areas of intellectual disability, community work, and ageing. She has extensive experience in the development of community services, and she currently serves as the Chair of UnitingCare in Queensland.
