Stephen Tomsen

Dr. Stephen Tomsen is a senior lecturer in the School of Social Science at the University of Newcastle in Newcastle, Australia. In 2005-2006, he was deputy director of the Sydney Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law, University of Sydney, and in 2001-2002, he was a Visiting Fellow at the Australian Institute of Criminology in Canberra. Dr. Tomsen completed his PhD at Macquarie University. His research interests include criminal justice; masculinity and violence; deviance, crime, and substance abuse; and sexuality, gender, and social movements.
