David Weisbrot
David Weisbrot has been President of the ALRC since 1999, chairing inquiries into, among other things, the federal civil justice system; the protection of human genetic information; the use of civil and administrative penalties; and the protection of classified and security sensitive information.He is currently Vice-President of the Commonwealth Association of Law Reform Agencies, and previously has served as a Member of the New South Wales and Fiji Law Reform Commissions, as well as a consultant to the Law Reform Commissions of Papua New Guinea and Victoria. In 2003, he was awarded a Centenary Medal by the Australian Government for services to law reform.
