Brian Opeskin
Brian Opeskin has been a full-time Commissioner at the ALRC since July 2000. He led the Commission’s inquiries into the judicial power of the Commonwealth and the sentencing of federal offenders; and jointly led the inquiries into the protection of human genetic information, and gene patenting and human health.Brian was previously an Associate Professor at Sydney University Law School, where he taught in the fields of constitutional law, federal courts, international law and conflict of laws. He is the co-author of several books and many articles in these fields.
