Julie Stubbs
Julie Stubbs joined the Faculty of Law at the University of Sydney in 1989. Prior to that she worked with the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research as Senior Research Officer and was for a time Acting Deputy Director. She has worked as a consultant to Legal Aid, the Office of the Status of Women, the NSW Police Service, the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics & Research, the Australian Law Reform Commission, the Royal Commission into the NSW Police Service, and the Australian Institute of Judicial Administration. She has served on numerous government committees and the management committees of non-government organisations concerned with violence against women. She was a member of an international expert panel that prepared a paper on violence against women for the United Nations.Julie is currently the Deputy Director of the Institute of Criminology at the University of Sydney.
