The Macarthur Legal Centre was established in 1987 and is part of a national coalition of Community Legal Centres committed to social justice and defending human rights. The Centre- provides free legal advice to community members,
- provides legal training and education for community workers and members of the public,
- produces educational material about the law, and
- lobbies for reform in areas of common concern to its clients.
