Cheryl Saunders
Cheryl Saunders is Founding Director of the Centre for Comparative Constitutional Studies at the University of Melbourne. She has held a personal chair in the Faculty since 1989 and is a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia. Other positions she has held include Vice President of the International Association of Constitutional Law, the International Association of Centres for Federal Studies, and the Australian Association of Constitutional Law. She is an editor of the Public Law Review.Cheryl Saunders has specialist interests in constitutional law and comparative constitutional law. She has had some involvement in aspects of constitutional design in other countries, including Fiji, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, and East Timor.
In 1994, Cheryl Saunders was made an officer of the Order of Australia, for services to the law and to public administration.
