Peter Butt

Professor Butt has held visiting professorships at Nottingham University, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Bristol. He is the founding director of the Centre for Plain Language and is a past president of Clarity, an international plain language association. He was a consultant to the Australian Government on land law aspects of the Native Title Act 1993, and has been a consultantto the New South Wales Law Reform Commission on various reforms to property law.
