Roderick Wood
Roderick Wood is a professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Alberta. He teaches and publishes in the areas of commercial law, bankruptcy and insolvency law, and debtor-creditor law. Professor Wood is the author of several books on personal property security legislation in Canada and New Zealand. He was the 2004 recipient of the Tevie H. Miller Teaching Award for the Faculty of Law and was a 2005 recipient of the A.C. Rutherford Award for Undergraduate Teaching at the University of Alberta. Professor Wood was a member of the Canadian delegation at the Diplomatic Conference to adopt a Rail Protocol to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment in Luxembourg in February 2007, and served on the drafting committee that produced the text of the protocol.He is the author of Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law (Irwin Law, 2008) and coauthor with Ronald Cuming and Catherine Walsh of Personal Property Security Law (Irwin Law, 2005). Both books are in the Essentials of Canadian Law series.
