Expert Evidence in Criminal Law by Alan D. Gold, Maritime Law by Edgar Gold, Aldo Chircop and Hugh Kindred, and Theory of Class Actions by Craig Jones are on the short list for this year's Walter Owen Book Prize. The English-language Walter Owen book prize is awarded every other year by the Foundation for Legal Research to the author(s) of a book which represents an outstanding new contribution to Canadian legal literature and which enhances the quality of legal research in Canada. The winner(s) are selected by a committee of annually-appointed lawyers, judges, and academics.
