Irwin Law takes great pleasure in congratulating Professor Vern Krishna, Q.C., FRSC, FCGA and Professor Nathalie Des Rosiers who have been awarded Honorary Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) degrees by the Law Society of Upper Canada at Call to the Bar ceremonies in Toronto and Ottawa.

Professor Krishna, a former treasurer of the Law Society, is the author of Income Tax Law in Irwin Law's best-selling Essentials of Canadian Law series. He is Professor of Law (Common Law) at the University of Ottawa and Tax Counsel in the Ottawa office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP.

Professor Des Rosiers is currently President of the Law Commission of Canada and on leave as a Professor at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law. In September 2004, she will become Dean of Civil Law at University of Ottawa. She is co-author (with Lousie Langevin) of Representing Victims of Sexual and Spousal Abuse published by Irwin Law.
